What would you do if you were shopping at a store with your young teen daughter and some man came up and just grabbed her and started trying to pull her out of the store?
This just happened to a woman at a Dollar General in Hernando, Florida and it was all captured on CCTV.
He in no way tried to be sneaky about this crime.
The guy just walked up to the mother and daughter and tried to kidnap the kid right there in front of her in the middle of a busy store in broad daylight, just like that. The mom can be seen grabbing at and running after her daughter who is physically being yanked down the aisles and dragged across the floor by the kidnapper.
He didn’t get away with it.
Craig Bonello, 30, of Hernando is now facing charges of attempted kidnapping and child abuse, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
Bonello was apprehended in his car moments after the kidnap attempt by off-duty deputy Jonathan Behnen, who drew his weapon on the suspect.
“We are grateful for the courageous acts of both the child’s mother and off-duty Dep. Jonathan Behnen. Thankfully, the child was saved and no-one suffered any injuries during the incident,” a police statement read.
Yeah right. That kid is going to think twice about ever going to Dollar General again.
Sergeant Craig Callahan of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office told Fox 13 that the kidnapper “truly intended to abduct this child right in front of everyone in the store.”
“In my 10 years on the road I have never seen anything like this,” he said.
What in the hell is wrong with people these days? Seems like people are just straight up losing their minds. Reminds me of this guy who randomly attacked an 80-year-old woman on the bus for seemingly no reason either. People are just snapping.
