Gas Station Clerk Refuses to Accept Woman’s ‘Gunked up’ Pennies; She Comes Back with Not One, but TWO Guns

Not all cash really is legal tender in this country, and some people are pretty pissed off about it.

The woman pictured above brought an “old, dirty jar of pennies” to a Melbourne, Florida 7-11 in the middle of the night and attempted to pay for a few things. The clerk told her it was too many pennies to accept and to take her “gunked up pennies” elsewhere, spurring an argument.

The woman, pictured above from a security tape, freaked out when her pennies weren’t accepted for payment and began throwing items off the counter and throwing things at the clerk who sustained minor injuries. She then threatened to kill him.

Apparently she was serious, as she left the store then promptly returned with not one but two firearms. Thankfully, she left again without shooting anyone over a jar of pennies. Florida Today reported, “It was not immediately known if the woman took her penny jar with her.”

She now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and criminal mischief over $1,000. Police still haven’t found her.

Every day another story like this illustrates the obvious that society is reaching its breaking point. That jar of pennies was hers. It’s just lucky no one got shot over it.
