President Trump has publically called for Cuba to remove itself from the fray in Venezuela or face a “full and complete embargo”.
“If Cuban Troops and Militia do not immediately CEASE military and other operations for the purpose of causing death and destruction to the Constitution of Venezuela, a full and complete embargo, together with highest-level sanctions, will be placed on the island of Cuba. Hopefully, all Cuban soldiers will promptly and peacefully return to their island!”
Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (NSA), John Bolton, tweeted that the US condem’s Cuba’s direct role and is holding it responsible for it’s part in this man-made crisis.
The United States condemns Cuba’s direct role in propping up the failed Maduro regime in Venezuela. We will continue to take actions to cut the Cuban regime’s lifelines in Venezuela and hold it accountable for the destabilizing role it plays in this man-made crisis.

There is speculation on Twitter that two US aircraft carriers are headed south from both coasts – one to deal with the potential embargo of Cuba and one to assist in Venezuela if needed.
